Super Cute Platter Idea for Christmas Parties!

November 6, 2018 By: Majestycomment

As you’ve probably noticed, I’m all about making it a little “easier” on myself when it comes to…….okay, when it comes to ANYTHING…….but especially anything that relates to “cooking.” I saw this post on Pinterest last year and pinned it in hopes that I would actually remember it THIS year. Well, I didn’t…….UNTIL I saw this exact same Christmas tree platter on sale at TJMaxx.com the other day! Here’s the deal: if you use this Christmas tree platter, your “stuff” stays in the shape of a Christmas tree! You can use cheeses, meats, veggies, or fruits like this!

platter Christmas parties

Christmas Tree PlatterThere are also lots of other things you could use – be creative – use your imagination! If you don’t HAVE an imagination, or….if you don’t have time to use it,…… then search Pinterest or Google for more ideas! 🙂 I think this would be really cute (and EASY!) to take to a Christmas party or family gathering this holiday season.

So here’s the cool part (that made me remember this pin!). As I was scrolling TJMaxx online (which I do rarely, sometimes, OKAY! REALLY OFTEN!,) 😉 I saw this platter on sale for only $6.99! Here’s the link: Christmas Tree Platter

This is less than anywhere else I’ve found it! It’s actually $14.33 on Amazon (click here) and $13.33 on Walmart (click here)! So, if you think you might use this idea, order from TJMaxx.com soon (they run out of stuff fast sometimes). THAT’S why I check it every month, week….OKAY…..ALMOST EVERY DAY. I call it “research” for this blog – sounds pretty legit, right?

If you like the idea, but you’d like to use a platter that’s a little cuter (but also a little more expensive), Walmart.com has these options, too. They’re all right around $12.00 each:

Snowman:

Polar Bear:

Red Christmas Tree:

Hope you like this idea! If not, then maybe you’ll like the next one! I’ll keep trying! Please subscribe if you don’t want to miss any great ideas or sales, and share it with your friends and family! Thanks, Everyone! 🙂

NO Baking – Super Fast & Super Cute Halloween (and Christmas) Treats!

October 30, 2018 By: Majesty5 Comments

Do y’all know what I love about cooking? NOTHING! Seriously, I really don’t enjoy it. If you can show me how to make something really cute that doesn’t involve cooking or baking, I’m all over it! I saw an idea like this on Pinterest and improved upon it (if I do say so myself!) Because the Pinterest post had you making your own brownies! What?! Now WHY would anyone do that when you don’t have to? If you’re like me, and you wait until the very last minute to do {almost everything,} then you need to be following my blog! Fast and easy? I’m your girl! (No! not like THAT! Y’all stop that!) 😉

Really, though – my cooking is so bad that when my middle son, Kelden, was in kindergarten, and they made one of those booklets for Mother’s Day (you know the ones), his page that was titled, “My favorite thing my mom cooks for dinner” was filled out (and drawn) by him:  peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Yep – so I’m not the Pioneer Woman, okay? I get that. I have talents in other areas (most are yet to be discovered, but I’m sure I do.)

So here’s how to make these cute little treats with NO BAKING WHATSOEVER!

No bake Halloween treats

Here’s what you need:

Halloween Treats

Sam’s Club sells these DELICIOUS already-made flats of brownies for only $9.98 (it’s worth that not to have to stir anything, right? That makes my arm hurt.) The box has lines on all four sides that “direct” you where to cut the brownies into equal squares:

Brownies

Be sure to use a PLASTIC KNIFE to cut these. The directions tell you that, but I didn’t pay attention to the directions the first time (typical….), but the next time I did, and it was SO much easier (probably why they put it in the directions.)

After you cut your brownies, simply spread chocolate and white icing on equal amounts of brownies. Purchase some Halloween Monster Peeps and Ghost Peeps. I got mine from Party City. (Just in case y’all are wondering, Party City is NOT the place to go the day before Halloween…..), but they DO have them, and if you go tomorrow, maybe everyone will have bought their costume by then (probably not).

So once you spread your icing on the brownies, you simply stick the Peeps on top! I used chocolate icing for the Frankenstein Peeps and white icing for the Ghost Peeps. Pretty cute, and people will think you spent a lot of time on this!

Now if you’re thinking, “Why is she telling us about this NOW? Halloween is OVER!” Well, 1. I just thought about doing it and thought I would share, and – more importantly – 2. They make AWESOME CHRISTMAS PEEPS that you could use for this same idea!  Check them out – they have these Christmas trees, snowmen, and gingerbread men, plus reindeer, stars and mittens!

christmas treats

They will stand up easily on cupcakes, too! (and did you know – you can buy frosted, undecorated cupcakes from Publix?) YES! NO BAKING – and still super cute!

christmas cupcakes

I hope you all have a Happy Halloween – it’s already over for me. I finished all the candy last week…..

If you don’t want to miss any posts, please subscribe to my mailing list by entering your email – I promise I won’t share it with anyone, but I’d like YOU to share my blog with EVERYONE. Thanks, y’all! Till next time!

Quick and EASY July 4th Treats!

June 29, 2017 By: Majesty4 Comments

July 4th is upon us again, and a lot of people get invited to cookouts, parties, etc. and often take a dessert. Now, those of you who know me KNOW I don’t like to “fire up the oven”……..like ever……..but I found this really beautiful dessert that looks delicious AND it takes about 15 minutes to put together with NO BAKING!  Now that’s MY kind of dessert! Here’s a picture:

This showstopping Angel Food Cake with Berries takes ONLY 15 minutes to put together! WOW your guests with this amazing and delicious 4th of July Cake Idea or serve for any occasion!

You buy the ingredients – including the cake – at the store, and  you barely even have to MIX anything for heaven’s sake!  Fantastic!  You can purchase angel food cake or pound cake (well, yes, you can MAKE it, too, but I’m talking about what “I” would do)…The filling is that awesome fruit dip stuff – marshmallow cream and Cool-Whip mixed together (or – one I like even better – one 15 oz. jar of marshmallow cream and one 8 oz. package of cream cheese mixed together) and fruit!  That’s it!  I would say the only “tricky” part is slicing the cake into equal (or sort of equal) thirds and scraping all of that dadgum marshmallow cream from inside the jar! The smart lady who wrote the blog where I found this has a tip for cutting the cake – check out her complete recipe and tips here:

http://hoosierhomemade.com/angel-food-cake-with-berries/

Here are some other ideas for quick and EASY July 4th treats:

A pretty tray with blueberries, strawberries, and white chocolate covered pretzels –  you could serve that awesome fruit dip with this, too!:

I am loving this awesome 4th of July Fruit Platter Idea, it's the perfect for any 4th of July Party so be sure to check it out!

Only a few people get blueberries on their skewer with this idea, but hey!  It’s cute!

Purchase some cupcakes and arrange them in a “flag” pattern:

For a simple and easy way to show off your patriotism, assemble 24 cupcakes into a flag, alternating rows of red and white for the stripes. Garnish the blue cupcakes with edible stars. Get the recipe at Mommy Moment.

Or put some red and blue fruit on the top of cupcakes for a patriotic flair:

Or just buy these two things and mix them together – you could get crazy and throw some pretzels in there, too! Tastes great!

Hope you all have a wonderful and SAFE July 4th holiday! Thank you to those men and women who serve and help make the USA the best country in the world!

St. Patrick’s Day Cuteness!

February 17, 2016 By: Majestycomment

Okay, I’ll admit it…..I’ve never really “gotten into” St., Patrick’s Day very much (no offense to my Irish friends), BUT….if I can find enough cute stuff, I can get into ANY holiday (or any DAY, really!)  And since I’ve been looking around, I’ve found some really cute St. Patrick’s Day things!

Click on all of the pictures to link to the product!

Check out this 3/4 sleeve raglan tee WITH a  monogram for only $24.99 on Etsy:

St. Patrick's Day shirt

shamrock shirt pink

It’s by MONOGRAMSINC. You  have to order by March 10th to ensure delivery by St. Patrick’s Day!

Or for your younger one, how about this precious bodysuit or shirt by DarlingLittleBowShop on Etsy?

bodysuit shamrock

boys shamrock

It comes in a bodysuit for sizes newborn – 24 months girls ($28) and a shirt for 12 months – size 12 big girls ($30) and the same for boys except the shirt goes up to size 10 for big boys.

For your four-legged family members, I like these scarfs that fit on your dog’s collar. This one on Etsy is only $9.00:

And not to leave out cats – this bow collar is cute, too!  (Although I’m not sure how most cats would feel about wearing it…..).  It’s $12.59 on Etsy:

This cute door decor is $35 on Etsy and made by BeccasFrontDoorDecor:

PartyCity.com has this cute flag for only $6.99:

Here’s a cute centerpiece idea!  This is a trifle bowl and round, glass platter filled with green jellybeans. (Idea courtesy of www.pamperedchef.com)

These cupcakes look fun and (maybe) not too difficult to make:

There’s no “recipe” to go with them – they want you to buy the book, but it looks like a vanilla wafer, orange m & m’s or skittles, and gum drops or gummy candy. I’d like to think they didn’t just draw on that face with a Sharpie, but hey……whatever……….

Hope this gets you in the “spirit” of St. Patrick’s Day!  Till next time!  🙂

Valentine’s Day Cuteness!

February 3, 2016 By: Majesty3 Comments

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and there’s always fun stuff to do and buy (eat chocolate….buy chocolate)….okay – MORE than just chocolate!  (Although I don’t really “need” much more than that.)  But here are a few fun, CUTE things for you to check out!

First – if you need a cute teacher’s, co-worker’s, friend’s gift, etc. – these are pretty darn cute! Click on the picture to link to how to make them!

Chalkboard Mason Jars

If you need a cute shirt, you’re single, and you love your dog, how about this one for only $13.99 from Etsy?  Click on pic for link. Unfortunately, you can’t pick a breed, but how cute is this?!

My Dog is My Valentine T Shirt Gifts for Dog Lovers - Gildan Unisex TShirt - Item 2731

If you need door decor or a garden flag for Valentine’s Day, I LOVE this girl’s stuff on Etsy!  (I’ve already ordered two garden flags-her work is excellent!) Her shop is called Ashley Nichole Designs.

flag chalkboard door decor heart burlap wreath

If you want to take a really cute picture of your kids and send to relatives, this pose is pretty adorable:

boy

And if you’re like me, and you don’t want to cut out 53 red hearts from construction paper – remember – you can purchase that kind of thing!  🙂

And of course there are always Valentine’s Day TREATS like these cute Hershey’s Kiss cookies:

What “I” would do is purchase pre-made sugar cookie dough. Then you can use a heart-shaped cookie cutter and try to straighten out the curved edges – OR – you can purchase a cheap metal cookie cutter and flatten the heart side before cutting any – OR – you could try to find a triangular shaped cookie cutter. Then – this is the BEST PART – while the cookies are baking, you need to EAT A BUNCH OF HERSHEY KISSES AND SAVE THE LITTLE BANNERS.  Okay, the recipe didn’t actually “say” that, but I think that makes a lot more sense than melting the chocolate down and using it for another recipe…..I mean, c’mon……..So after you’ve eaten the kisses, you ice the cookies and use matching sprinkles and place the banner in the icing at the top.  Ta-da!  Who doesn’t love a “kiss” for Valentine’s Day?!

I also really love how these gourmet apples look!  They’re made by BigBearChocolates on Etsy.  They’re kind of expensive, but imagine how much time goes into making these things!!

Valentine Gourmet Chocolate Caramel Apples by BigBearChocolates:

Finally, if you need to give your hubby an idea for a Valentine’s Day gift (Is there someone who doesn’t?  If so, just know that I’m jealous), this necklace is really pretty! It’s only $24.00 and is available in gold or silver.  The couple pillowcases are $29.99 and are pretty darn adorable!   This sweet bear with a personalized sweater is marked down from $30.95 to $24.75 and is a great gift for anyone! And the 4 x 6 personalized wood frame is reduced from $24.95 to $17.45 (8 x 10 available on sale for $34.95.) The sale may end soon so HURRY!!

Hope you’ve enjoyed this Valentine’s Day post, and I hope you all have a

Need a cool craft idea?  How about this tie dye t-shirt?  Fun for all ages!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
– Tulip One Step Tie Dye in red and royal blue (Here’s a link for a one step five color kit that includes these colors from Amazon:  CLICK HERE!)
– Tulip Dye Zip Ties – Here’s a link for that – HERE – but I think any zip ties would work – in fact, I think rubber bands would work, too!)
– Tulip Surface Cover (Link HERE, but – again – I think most anything would work!)
– 100% white cotton shirt
– Pliers
WHAT YOU DO:
1. Wet or dampen your cotton t-shirt; wring out any excess water.

2. Lay shirt on surface cover. Cinch the shirt into three different sections and use pliers to pull zip ties tightly on bottom and top section as shown above.

3. Mix Tulip Tie Dyes and shake well.  Squeeze red dye and saturate top part of shirt.  Squeeze dye about a half inch from the cinched zip tie.  The dye does bleed and will seep to this section eventually.  Do the same with the blue dye at bottom.  Also make sure to turn over and make sure you get all areas on the other side of the shirt.

4. Roll and wrap in Tulip Surface Cover and let sit 6-8 hours.

5. Rinse under faucet to remove excess dye. Rinse until water runs clear.

6. Leave ties on shirt and machine wash in large load setting.

7.  After washing, remove ties. Machine dry.

Now, what about some really cute July 4th treats?  Check these out!
july 4th dessert, oreo pops, patriotic dessert, patriotic oreos
All you do is put Oreos on a stick, dip them in  melted white chocolate, and roll them in patriotic sprinkles!  So cute and easy!

m&m cake

For this cake, all you need to do is make a regular rectangular cake – or a pan of brownies – spread vanilla frosting on the top, and decorate with red, white, and blue M&Ms!  (You’ll probably need two bags…..or – if you’re like me, and you need to sample “a few” while  you decorate……you might need seventeen bags…..HEY!  DON’T JUDGE!) 🙂

Lastly, if you want to decorate your home for July 4th, here are some red, white, and blue lights:

Lillian Vernon also has some really cute home decor products like these:

Lucy Anne’s Cookie Boutique

March 27, 2015 By: Majestycomment

lucyanneseaster2
So my friend, Anne, has the CUTEST cookies you’ve ever seen!  They’re adorable, and they’re priced really well (especially considering it would probably take me an entire day to make “one” – I mean, think about it:  flour, sugar, eggs, butter, the (God-forsaken) rolling pin, cookie cutters, flour everywhere, you actually have to use the oven instead of the microwave, and on and on!!)  I mean, seriously, she should charge $10 a cookie when you think about it!  And, on top of how cute they are, they taste fabulous!  I can personally attest to this – I’ve eaten one! (y’all know that’s a lie…….I’ve eaten WAY more than one…..), but anyway….to check them out, please visit her site:  https://www.facebook.com/lucyannescookies
